Today I attended the class activity which was a BBQ at one friend’s house. Wow, the house is really huge lei and triple- storey some more. Besides, the food prepared for the BBQ was admirable enough … got satay la, fish ball lah, fried rice lah, chicken wings la … bla bla bla …. I was really full … huh!"_" But, the main objective of this gathering is not to eat and enjoy, but to foster much tighter bond between the classmates ….. tat is all "_"
For Term 2 EOTA, I have choosen Rock Climbing as my activity. Actually I chose this activity because I would like to conquer the fear that I have on height (phobia lolz). Thank goodness, my S$12 worth it lah cause I did try everthing (facilities) there. I managed to conquer two and a half board!! Why half u will ask? It is because at the moment I was climbing on a very very very difficult board, my legs and hands were trembling like hell !!!! And I could not feel my hands at all (they were out of my control!! when I wanted to move them). Aikz….never mind.
Tonight, I have had a wonderful drama named "Because of U" organized by my school. This drama portrays the lifelihood of the foreign students here, their difficulties here (in studies eg.), their richful life in boarding school, their friendship & love ….bla bla bla ….. I can really feel cause I am one of the community heeeeee …….. Last word, my money is worth to watch this drama … not wasting my time either "_"
Now, I believe why this cartoon animation is so popular now. The animation is called "Naruto". It is about NINJA ! I would not talk about the story here. But I would like to comment is tat the cartoon is really great!! I like it very much. I can learn something from the cartoon. For eg. I can learn the quality of to be persevere like Naruto; learn tat a person who is hardworking can beat a genius from Rock Lee and so on. I recommend this cartoon to all of you. Quick and watch it!!! Today, I went to Ke Ming Primary School to tutor the Pri 6 students on Maths. The school is new built, i think … it is very very big and quite modern… Entering the classroom, I suddenly felt amazed on the number of students that my friends and I had to tutor. There were about 20 students (>_<! forgot the number already) … I was assigned to tutor 2 students … They were both girls…. One of them was very very shy (in my opinion or it was her behaviour) … she never opened her golden mouth!! I hoped to help her and tried to have a fruitful tutoring with her … though I constanly asked her if she had any problem, she just shook her head…. even if she got, she never told me …. Only I realized that she got problem, I interfered (hazz!) …. When I explained, I expected some response from her , still she did not open her mouth … I alomst lost my patience already !! Nvm lah, at least I had tried my best to impart her some skill on answering maths questions. The other one was quite Ok. She did respond and she did ask me some questions. She was a bit more proactive lah than the previous one. Lolz, dun know if I have failed to be a ‘tutor’<_>
aiks…..finally come to an end of the Sabbatical Week…..i hope it will be continued forever…aiks..>_< today, we the students have to present our business plan, our product (perfume with anti insect properties) as well as our commercial……. for my group, though there was an argument between the group members, we managed to do our best and still fostered a good relationship and team work between all of us….. i am glad tat i am in the pro and dynamic group. My group got five out of five ACE points …. thanks the efforts that we all have put in (for the group members"_") … quite sad, the course is five-day only ….. i start like to perfume already although i am not used to…. finally, i have learned lots of staff from this course … though the cost is quite expensive (S$100 leh!!), i think worth it…. no regret +_+
Today, we learned to make lotion…..by using just two ingredients - butter and oil….guess wat again…our group made it again with our lotion without being spoiled unlike other group….though our lotion is little bit oily… Then at 9.45am, we set off to visit Symrise (a company tat is the third largest industries in the world!!). Firstly, we were showed a video clip…….had a free drink….then a staff was called in to introduce various kinds of scent to us….got lemon grass, rose, lavender, sandal wood, orange….bla bla bla many many…..now…my noise is almost spoiled (kidding)…then we were guided to the flavour and fragrance departments. We were treated with all kinds of candy in flavour department…..cham liao…my teeth >_<…..every food in singapore has to be sent to Symrise to be added with flavour………..this is the trip to Symrise….tomorrow still got business plan presentation that will decided how many ACE points we will get…..looking forward tomorrow..+_+
cont…….my group has produced a very very "expensive" perfume (claimed by instructors) as my group’s perfume smells very good…… we are doing a business plan on how to promote our product lah, decide the location of office, factory, budget……….lots of thing, still have to do presentation some more……aiks….for the sake of ACE points….. today, we have done an experiment on whether our product (perfume which has the insect repelling properties) can repel ants or not……….guess wat??….our group has succeeded in preventing the ants from running out of their so-called "territory" surrounded by our perfume……….quite fun….enjoyable….tommorrow we are going to have a fieldtrip to Morroco factory to do wat?????? stay tune!!!
This week is SABBATICAL WEEK. Every student is required to take up one course as their lesson for their whole week. There are variety of choices of courses, such as aroma chemistry, immunology, golf, the write stuff, leadership camp, Seven Effective People course…………………………I hope that I can sign in all of them. I selected Aroma Chemistry as my course. In this course, I learn to create perfume!!! The course is conducted in an interesting way: everytime we have to smell this and that……then try to make a good combination of the scents…….to produce your favourite perfume or to produce a prefume that suit different status of society. Each one of us has to come out with a business plan to sell out our own product. Our product has to be a perfume and an insect repellant at the same time <_> lolz. Cont…….the other day…."_"
